Display Form Elements

Display elements are elements that compose and style how children elements (other displays or inputs) are oriented.

  • Block
  • Collection
  • Panel
  • Subform
  • Tab

Block​

Block is selected when element.template === "block", Block renders its children in a two column layout.

Collection​

Collection is selected when element.template === "collection". Collection renders all its children inline. If the children is of type "collection", "grid", "listview", "block", "subform", then render it full width.

Panel​

Panel is selected when element.template === "panel". Panel renders all its children inline.

Subform​

Subform is selected when element.template === "subform". Subforms have no children, but get its children from the record form data. The subform object can be found in data.form.subforms. It is an array of subforms and can be found by matching sub_form_model_class and sub_form_name. This will return a form element with a key children. Render the children accordingly.

Tab​

Tab is selected when element.template === "tab". A tab is an element that has a menu of all its children, when a child is pressed then you render the children elements.
